About Kruze

In the search for a new name, it was important to us that the name was short, powerful, more international, but also fresh and surprising.

In addition to offering quality coffee and tea, our new concept focuses even more on the experience (KRUZE Experience) and guidance of professionals (KRUZE Academy), .. And that's how we ended up at KRUZE (referring to Cruise), because with KRUZE we we:

  • Discovering your favorite flavours.
  • Learning about coffee and tea through stories about origins, legends, customs,…
  • In a fun and playful way, ... because cruising is FUN too.
  • and with an experienced coffee roaster and tea master as captain, who also likes to travel!

We are a company with a total range of single origin coffees in addition to pure teas and our own tea blends with accompanying accessories and guidance to bring out the flavors of the high-quality products as best as possible.

We strive to fully support the last step of a delicious restaurant visit, namely coffee and tea, and that is why both are included in our range.

With the knowledge and experience within our team, we are also able to provide a valuable service on both products.

We can advise you and provide tailor-made service in many areas, such as putting together a menu, developing a coffee corner, presentation products, service, making home blends, etc.

We also wish to transfer our knowledge to you through workshops, training courses, tastings, company visits, etc.

Shop

We love to welcome coffee and tea lovers. You can find the address and opening hours of our store on our contact page. Hopefully see you soon.

The store is open on Wednesday and Friday from 12 am to 6 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm

In addition to our own coffee and tea products, you can find many regional products such as granola, honey, sweets and numerous non-alcoholic drinks based on tea or herbs.

This is absolutely possible. You can simply order these in the store and they will be ready to pick up the following week. In addition to the 250 gr coffee packaging, we also have an affordable 1 kilo packaging. For the teas, in addition to the standard 100 gram packaging, we also have options of 200, 500 and 1000 grams.

That's right, the most popular products are in the store. However, it is no problem to order these products and we will make sure they are there when you visit the store. Once the production area is in order, we will immediately be able to pack it for you on site.

Unfortunately, we don't have a consumption room, but you can buy a coffee or tea on-the-go.

Fantastic question! We always have one coffee on the machine and we can prepare every possible tea in our range for you!

Coffee

We choose high-quality single-origin coffee beans, which are traditionally roasted with attention to bring out the best flavor profile in the coffee.

We work with small producers who pay attention to the environment, working conditions and quality.

We indeed roast all our coffees ourselves on our Probat-10 roaster. We do this about twice a week. Usually on Monday or Tuesday and then again on Saturday.

We roast 2 times a week, Monday or Tuesday and on Saturday. We try to take as many orders as possible on these days. If we are unable to roast your coffee on those days, Stijn will let you know when it will be roasted.

Single origin means that the coffee comes from one plantation, one region or one cooperative. These coffees are pure and are not mixed with other coffees as in blends.

We also name our coffees after the plantation or cooperative from which they come.

For this it is best to contact us so that we can advise you which coffee suits your business or company best,

At the moment we do not sell coffee capsules, in addition to beans we can grind your coffee for different brewing methods (bialetti, filter, etc) or to fill capsules yourself.

Once our location is completely ready, you will be able to taste coffees. We will then always offer two coffees as a taster. If you want to taste a specific coffee, you can always make an appointment and we will be happy to take you on a journey through our range.

We often work with small coffee producers, who only have a limited harvest. It is therefore possible that your favorite coffee is (temporarily) no longer available. If this is the case, ask for the alternative as we always strive to include a similar coffee back in the range.

We can grind the coffee for different brewing methods. If you order online you can enter this, in the store we only have a filter available. If you need anything else in the store, just let us know and we'll arrange it for you.

Tea

Excellent question! We are aware of the fact that you have a wide range of tea in Belgium and beyond and it means a lot to us that we can welcome you here on our piece of paradise.

We have an extensive and complete range of Japanese teas, Stijn's specialty. We select these teas ourselves in Japan and import them to Belgium. This means that we have visited the farmers on site and work directly with them without an intermediary. We do the same for our products from South Africa (Rooibos, Buchu, Honeybush). This way you contribute directly to the farmers and their families on site.

In addition, Stijn makes various tea blends, aimed at taste and simplicity in composition in order to offer you a unique experience at that time of the day when you relax and enjoy a delicious cup. Various blends enjoy international fame from colleagues in the field and from international competitions.

Sign up for one of our tea workshops and we'll tell you all about it. We can also assist you in the store with all the advice and assistance to help you on your way in this fantastic world.

Please contact us so that we can help you on your way through the extensive range.

Storing tea is not that difficult. There are 5 factors that you need to take into account, namely oxygen, heat, light, humidity and odors. It is best to store your tea in a dry, cool place, away from sunlight, strongly scented products and heat.

Tea containers are often an ideal way to store tea. It is best to place this in a kitchen cupboard not too close to the stove or oven.

Do you keep tea in the fridge? Outside of our powdered teas, we don't think this is the best option.

For this it is best to contact us so that we can advise you which teas best suit your business or company, what are the popular teas, which ones do you absolutely need, how large your range should be, etc.

No, you will not find other brands of tea with us. We sell all tea under our own brand.

This is a difficult question to answer, there are so many factors involved and you can't come to a conclusive conclusion. For example, the length of the infusion, first or subsequent infusions, etc.

Broadly speaking, you can say that matcha contains the most caffeine, even more than coffee.

There are numerous benefits associated with tea, which are also mentioned on the product pages. However, our motivation is mainly on the taste of the products and much less on the health aspects. Since tea is a healthy product, we see it as a nice extra while we enjoy its delicious taste.

We are not a recognized organic producer and therefore do not offer organically certified tea. Some of our teas do come from organic farming, but due to our repacking and blending activities, they lose the organic label. These teas were labeled Premium.

Once the location is completely ready, you will be able to taste the tea. We will then always offer a number of teas as a taster. If you want to taste a specific tea, you can always make an appointment and we will be happy to take you on a journey through our range.

At various times, and if covid allows it, we will also hold theme tastings in the business where you can get acquainted with, for example, tea from Japan, South Africa, etc.

We always try to buy in small quantities in order to be able to offer an optimal fresh product. Sometimes it happens that the demand is greater than we had estimated and the tea is temporarily out of stock. Do you want to know when it will be back in? Send us a message and we'll keep you posted
